suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces
character, and character produces hope…”

A fine, but perhaps slightly confusing statement.
Rejoicing in suffering, resulting in great things. How does
that work? Well, as always, it is in Christ that we have
peace with God. With that in place, nothing that befalls us
in this life is impossible to handle. In fact, with the vertical
relationship fully functioning, events in the horizontal
aspect of life are taken care of, because peace with God
transcends all else.
