Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be
not envious of the wicked,… My son, fear the Lord and
the king, and do not join with those who do otherwise,
Proverbs 24: 18, 21

Solid advice in times like these.
Do not fret, do fear. Worry about oneself is contrasted
with fearing the Ruler. The proverbs shows how strange
fretting yourself is and how strong fearing the Lord is.
For the fretting comes from looking at the evildoers and
wicked, but fearing the Lord stems from His goodness
and power.
In times such as these, we must ask ourselves: fret or
fear? Fretting gets you stuck in the here and now.
Fearing the Lord gives you wings of confidence.
