Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so
that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may
see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of
visitation. Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every
human institution, whether it be to the emperor as
supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish
those who do evil and to praise those who do good.
1 Peter 2: 12-14

As we are directed to honourable conduct, it is primarily
to silence the enemy and to bring glory to God. Some of
that will show in how we honour those in authority over
us. In these times, we might feel like protesting our
current limitations is overdue.

But as we are called to honourable conduct it may cause
glory to God and praise for those who live honourably.
There is great result in obedience as we anticipate the
day of God’s visitation.
