8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, if there is any excellence, anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4: 8.

A word of wisdom in a time of foolishness. A word of
order in a time of chaos. In the conclusion of the letter,
the conclusion of the matter is: think about these things.
I’d like to point out one thing. “To think about” is in the
Greek “logizomai”. We recognize “logi” (logic). This
comes from “logos”, which means word or reason. The
Lord Jesus is called the Word (John 1), the logos. He is
also called Wisdom (Proverbs 8) So it should be argued,
that believers are to think about, that is: to absorb the
Word and to accept the reason/logic of the above.

In short, there is logic, order and wisdom in what Christ
has shown and given to us: truth, honour, justice, purity,
love, value and excellence and praiseworthiness.
That is why it is a word of wisdom and order in foolish
and chaotic times.
