At the close of the year, I referred to the lines quoted by King George VI in his speech on Christmas Day 1939 about “standing at the gate of the year”. Those were dark times, heading into the darkness of WW II. For many the unknown was very dark. We, having just entered the New Year 2020, are also stepping into the unknown, humanly speaking, but the eye of faith sees light, for God is our light. May the Almighty God be pleased guard and guide you all.
