What then shall we say to these things? Romans 8: 31

Usually we see this as a Paulinian figure of speech, but
we recognize that there is a real question. In Romans 8,
the climax is that God is eternally faithful and loving,
but it begins with struggles of various kinds. That’s why
the question is not simply a figure of speech. It is the
question which nudges us to the response of trusting in
God in all circumstances. We know that there are those
who, while knowing God and His faithful love and care,
do not see fit to apply that to their situation of struggle
and weakness.
May we be found encouraging one another in these
times, by getting to the right response. What do you say
to that?
