He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?Micah 6:8

The LORD explains to His people that outward ceremonies mean little when they are not paired with a heart filled with faith love and thankfulness. What is good and required is doing justice, loving kindness and to walk humbly with your God. It shows that we, in the first place, must hold God and His justice high. Then that we must be kind to our neighbor. And lastly, that we must be realistically humble about ourselves. That is the spiritual order.

We, however, would be inclined to begin with ourselves and have the neighbor’s well-being and the honor for God trail behind. How blessed it is for God’s people to know what they have in Christ. He maintained God’s justice, was kind to humanity and was humbled even unto death. May our faith and relationship with Christ be strengthened today, so that we may be pleasing in the sight of God.
