But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4: 4-5

At the right time, by God’s perfect timing, the Saviour came. We usually focus on the perfect timing of Christ’s birth, but we should consider that the Saviour’s work is about more than being born. His perfectly timed entry into this world led to a perfectly timed death. On the cross. Innocently condemned to death. It was all in God’s time. And so we look at a perfectly timed life of our Saviour, lived on our behalf. It fills us with gratitude and admiration that we may celebrate this, but even more that we have life because of this.
